The Marketing and Fundraising VISTA at Denton Christian Preschool will increase community awareness and enhance fundraising activities to help provide early education for at-risk children in the Denton community. Service opportunity begins on November 12, 2019. Member activities include:

     - Develop a marketing plan to increase Denton Christian Preschool’s presence in the community

     - Increase donor and volunteer participation in fundraising events and day-to-day needs.

     - Write 10 grants to raise an additional $100,000 for the education and care of at-risk children.

AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) members bring passion and perseverance where the need is greatest: to organizations that help eradicate poverty. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve as a catalyst for change, living and working alongside community members to meet our nation’s most pressing challenges and advance local solutions.

 

VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a federal anti-poverty program ad­ministered by the Corporation for National and Community Service. VISTA provides full-time volunteers (VISTAs) to support projects at nonprofit, grassroots organizations, and local government agencies that operate programs to help alle­viate poverty in the United States. VISTAs strengthen and support these organizations by improv­ing their infrastructure, expanding community partnerships, securing long-term resources, training pro­gram participants, and developing other activities that help build long-term sustainability for overcoming poverty.
