Help A Denton Child Start School Ready

For 55 years, this preschool has run on people who showed up — with an hour, a skill, or a gift. Here's how you can be one of them.

Why Your Gift Matters

A full-time preschool in Denton generally costs a family $600 to $1,000 a month. At DCP, tuition is $150 a week — and for many of our families, even that is made possible by help. We're a nonprofit, 501(c)(3). Donors, fundraisers, and grants are the reason our rates are what they are. Every gift goes straight to the same place: keeping excellent early education within reach of a family that couldn't otherwise afford it.

Read to a class

Every week, community volunteers come and read to our students. It's the easiest place to start, and often the one people never stop doing.

Not sure where you'd fit? That's fine. Call us at 940-383-3332 or email [EMAIL PLACEHOLDER] and we'll find the right spot for you.

Ways To Help In Person

You don't need a background in education. You need a couple of hours and a willingness to be with children. Here's where people help most:

Join a committee

Lend your skills to the work behind the scenes that keeps DCP running.

Support a teacher

An extra pair of hands in a classroom of three- and four-year-olds is worth more than you'd think — helping with activities, snack, and the small chaos of the day.

Serve on our board

Our board is a working board — every member gives real strategic support, not just a name. If you want to shape the future of the preschool, this is how.

Help with fundraising

Events, campaigns, outreach. If you've done this kind of work, we could use you.

Make A Gift

Every dollar goes toward keeping tuition low and our doors open to families who need us. Gifts to DCP are tax-deductible — we're a registered 501(c)(3). Ask us about sponsoring tuition, giving in kind, or supporting a fundraiser.

Prefer to give another way? Call the office at 940-383-3332. We're grateful however it comes.

With Gratitude

DCP exists because a community decided, in 1970, that its youngest children were worth it — and that community never stopped showing up. We're grateful to First Presbyterian Church for our home and its steady support, and to St. Andrew Presbyterian, St. Barnabas Episcopal, and the Lake Cities United Methodist Church Women's group for standing with our mission.
