We'd love for you to get to know us and why we love what we do here at DCP. Our next Staff Spotlight goes to our Interim Office Assistant, Anahi Blanca.
Ms. Anahi's connection with DCP is a special one. She was a student at DCP when she was three and four years old. A few years later as a college student, Ms. Anahi was excited to come back and give to DCP, the school where she began her education as a work-study student.
Although the majority of Ms. Anahi's time is spent in the office processing documents, updating financial records and answering the phone among other responsibilities, Ms. Anahi still gets to see and interact with students daily when she peeks into the classrooms every now and then to say hi to the students. Doing so brings back memories of when she was a student walking the same halls and classrooms.
"I love working at DCP because it is very rewarding to be able to help out. Seeing students light up when they accomplish a milestone is priceless," Ms. Anahi said.
If you ever wanna be on Ms. Anahi's good side, or just show some kind of appreciation, tacos and Dr. Pepper are always welcomed! After all, these are her favorite. Ms. Anahi is a mommy of four pit bull puppies that keep her busy besides being a full-time student working on her B.S. and M.S. in Accounting with a focus in Audit at the University of North Texas.
"Who knows? Maybe one day I'll be auditing books at DCP!"
And there's no doubt that she'll accomplish big things.
